The Songs Vin Played for 02/15/1998

There are three essential Commandments:

Respect The Elders.

Embrace The New.

Encourage The Impractical and Improbable, Without Bias.

__________________________________________________________________________

These are the songs I played on WNEW-FM / NY on "IDIOT'S DELIGHT" 2/15/98

another working day in the isolated world.

I opened with a scene from the Louis Malle film "Atlantic City" featuring

Burt Lancaster talking about "the good old days"when the Atlantic Ocean was

really something.

Tonight's show was dedicated to the Bonobo chimpanzees who spend a good

portion of every day having sex with each other instead of making war, a

noble endeavor.

Don't forget the big DON BRODY (of the Marys) memorial show at the Bottom

Line on Thursday, Feb. 26 featuring Marshall Crenshaw, Dar Williams, a

reunion of the Bongos, and Camp Hoboken. Net proceeds from the show will

benefit Don's family, his widow and two young children. If I could, I

would make this a mandatory Idiot's Delight event. Please come. Don was

such a special man and this promises to be a wonderful night in celebration

of his unique spirit. The Marys album "Back This Way" is released on a

small Florida-based label called Zesty Records, which can be reached by
