She has released two highly regard French albums in Europe: "La Biographie de Luka Philipsen" and "La Disparition." She's doing a couple of month long residencies in New York during June (Tuesdays at The Sidewalk Cafe) and July (Wednesday's at The Living Room). Tonight's visit was her American radio debut . We talked at length and played a variety of recordings, including some of her own favorites, and then went into Studio A to continue the conversation while she performed several of her subtle and beautiful songs accompanying herself on acoustic guitar.
