the origins of one note drone

Once upon a time, in a galaxy a few blocks from here, lived a man named Pythagorus. He was a wise man, having lived several years, and was blessed by Kreator with many artistic gifts. Indeed, Pythagorus could play the lute like nobody's business, plus he excelled in cave-painting ta boot.

But alas, Pythagorus grew bored with his gifts, and sought refuge among the common people, those with few skills but oh so many dreams. Down in the village he met three men who would provide hours of distraction for him as they formed what would eventually become One Note Drone.

These bereft commoners were:

• Phylander - a slight man with big dreams, he was shunned by other commoners due to his freakish ability to play a pretty fine lute. He spent many a day crafting his compositions, waiting for the day when all of the villagers would know his name
• Jahosefath - a slightly less slight man with an aversion to social contact, his participation in One Note Drone would seem to be something of an anomaly. Yet his unique visions and emotive bellowing have proven priceless to this strangest of supergroups
• Antonicus - even less slight but often feeling slighted, this lost soul lacked any ability to play the lute or even the krumhorn. Still, his greatest thrill was to participate, no matter how meekly, in the musical excursions of the gifted and semi-gifted

As Pythagorus and his new friends began to explore vast landscapes of sound, many great musical discoveries were made and recorded for a big posterity. However, these men have only begun to tap the mysterious synergistic power of their collaboration. Thus, they bring you a preliminary collection that only hints at the potential of this motley crew.

Upon the suggestion of their manager, Thumpyra, the men have now assumed names more in line with the vast market appeal of their winning compositions. Pythagorus has become Paul, Phylander is known as FiL, Jahosefath is simply John, and Antonicus is now Antny.
